Ordering CD Mastering

Ordering CD Mastering is very straightforward. Simply send us a package with the following items enclosed:

  • Your mix CD (see the CD Mastering page for our requirements).
  • A letter containing all the relevant details (track names, album/disc name, band/artist name, fades required etc) and any special instructions you have for us. Give as much detail as possible.
  • Fill out the order form at http://www.littlebazaar.co.uk/pages/online-order-form.php, filling out all the relevant parts. Print out the confirmation page (or confirmation email) and put it in with the disc and letter.
  • Full payment (Cheque, Postal Order or contact us to pay by Credit/Debit Card or Bank Transfer). To get the price of your job, see the prices on the main mastering page and add £3.50 for P&P. Add £1.50 for each additional master disc you require, if any.
  • It usually takes 5-7 days to receive your mastered disc back, but try to allow as much time as possible in case of unforeseen circumstance.
  • That's all!

What\'s the difference?

CD duplication is the copying of data from one disc to another through the process of burning, especially in large commercial quantities.

Though many people use the terms duplication and replication interchangeably, there are gross differences between the two. Though both processes transfer information onto CDs or DVDs, duplication is the process of burning dots that mimic what we call pits onto a CD surface and is normally undertaken by Duplication Companies. The device which does the burning is called a burner can be inexpensively found on home PCs.

CD replication on the other hand obtains an imprint from a glass master and stamps the data in binary form ontp the disc. In duplication, the duplicate is of the same or inferior quality as the original. No attempt is made to change the quality or constitution of the data transferred. CD Duplication is also cheap to do and therefore the favorite of computer enthusiasts who don\'t have the large budget to do replication.
