Customised Blank Media

We are one of the few companies in the UK to offer Custom CDs and DVDs. Custom CDs can be ordered as blank data CDs or as a cheaper alternative to full-print CD duplication.

For blank data CDs/DVDs, the basic idea is to replace standard blank discs, which you have to write on with a CD pen, with CDs/DVDs pre-printed with your company names, logo, job number or description. You are permitted a graphic (such as a logo) and two text fields.

It is a popular choice for companies who wish to transfer their data to a set of CDs/DVDs that can be neatly archived with clear labels. It is also popular with individuals who wish to store their work on distinctive discs and for students, bands and filmmakers who want a more cost effective alternative to standard CD/DVD duplication along with company workers who wish to submit work in a stylish fashion.

For those looking to use Custom CDs/DVDs as an alternative to standard, full-print CD/DVD duplication, it should be noted that the only difference is in the printing and you have fewer options to choose from. Because we save money on the amount of ink used, we can pass this saving onto you.

Why choose Custom CDs/DVDs?

Data Security:

Data, which has been stored on a CD/DVD, cannot be changed and is permanent. Data stored on a floppy disc can be altered without any sign of a change being made.

Self-Promotion:

Most blank CDs/DVDs either have a totally plain face or are branded with the manufacturer's logo. With your own custom printed CDs, your name and logo will be on the disc face. This helps to project a professional image and promotes your name to everyone who sees it, rather than the disc manufacturer's name or a blank face.

What do you get?

Every Custom CD/DVD comes with plastic wallets and can contain a logo (30mm x 30mm) and two text fields. These will be printed direct to the disc face with a white background.

Many clients of ours also require their discs to be duplicated. This can also be done as an add-on to the Custom CD service.

Prices (in GBP) are as follows using white backgrounds. For frosted silver backgrounds, add 7p per unit to all prices.

What\'s the difference?

CD duplication is the copying of data from one disc to another through the process of burning, especially in large commercial quantities.

Though many people use the terms duplication and replication interchangeably, there are gross differences between the two. Though both processes transfer information onto CDs or DVDs, duplication is the process of burning dots that mimic what we call pits onto a CD surface and is normally undertaken by Duplication Companies. The device which does the burning is called a burner can be inexpensively found on home PCs.

CD replication on the other hand obtains an imprint from a glass master and stamps the data in binary form ontp the disc. In duplication, the duplicate is of the same or inferior quality as the original. No attempt is made to change the quality or constitution of the data transferred. CD Duplication is also cheap to do and therefore the favorite of computer enthusiasts who don\'t have the large budget to do replication.
